The other cheek
(Poetry)
To lead or to follow and to remember tomorrow
The jealous and the lost will try to bring me down
Because of who I am and what I've done
I've got the right to claim my own crown
People come and go not having the guts to better themselves
But they hate and betray wallowing in their pity
Some people can't be helped so begone from me
For I am a great man and always will be
To be honest and sincere, a leader to many
I will always remember your loyalty and trust
But those that talk behind my back are fools
And shunning them away is a God given must
A good judge of character, for I have lived a while
I know who they are now and I am not afraid
To speak my mind and know I am a better man
Divinity is not determined by how much you are paid
I am one with God, for he is my only Master
Human trust and the human will is too weak
For those fools that never answer faithfully
The corruption of the evil ones I seek
I seek to destroy them, any way I may
For they call me out, against my will
I will laugh at them all and think to myself
They will feel my wrath in heaven until
Until they realize, I've never lied nor misled
I've done everything to help them along
And to hate me they may, but they will suffer
I will see to it that they will be proven wrong
