Pictures say it all

(Poetry Form/Song)

Every mountain that I climb
Every mile that goes by
I am doing this for you
And for me you know why

I’ve got your picture here
And I’ve never needed you so bad
I looked around but I can’t go back
And you’re still looking so sad

The days go by as I hang on to you
Seems this is an endless journey
When I stare into those sad sad eyes
My heart and soul is yearning

If I could only tell you how I feel
You would know it was meant to be
If I could release you from the pain
I could show you the meaning of free

So upon my return, one summer afternoon
You walked into my heart
And when I looked into those eyes
I knew we would never be apart

Now every time I tell you I love you
Every minute that you hold me
Gives me the feeling of compassion
And you woman, are forever my destiny

In closing, woman of my dreams
I’m a lucky man so it seems
To hold a woman like you
And a woman like you to hold someone like me…
